The Toronto Branch has been involved in many projects over the years.
The Branch is a major donor to the Foundation and has contributed over $100,000 to benefit the cadets at all of the Colleges.
The Toronto Branch Award in Honour of Sydney Frost is awarded to the graduating ROTP/RETP Cadet who has demonstrated the greatest improvement from 1st year to 4th year in Academics and Fitness, thereby reflecting the value of a military college degree.
Every year, the Toronto Branch sponsors a prize awarded on the graduation parade at RMC Kingston.
The Toronto Branch Prize is awarded to the Fourth Year ROTP/RETP cadet who obtains the highest combined marks in Drill and Physical Education during the entire course of study at RMCC .
Toronto Branch member Bob Banks has writen a book on the history of Kingston's Point Frederick, prior to the establishment of RMC.
This book, Warriors and Warships:Conflict on the Great Lakes and the Legacy of Point Frederick is a well-reasearched and fascinating look at the history surrounding the site that became the home of RMC Kingston.
Proceeds from the sale of warriors and warships are donated to the RMC Alumni Association's TDV Fund.
The Toronto Branch provided $10,000 to assist in the publishing of Dr. Baird's book Physics at RMC, The First 125 Years. (1876 to 2001) .
This will provide for an excellent historical records of the work of the RMC Physics Department over the last 125 years.
The Toronto Branch has supported Cadets at the Colleges via a variety of directed and undirected donations.
Some of these donations have gone to support the activities below.
The Toronto Branch is run by an elected Board of Directors who meet monthly.
Branch events are held throughout the year.
The Royal Military Colleges Club of Canada, founded in 1884, provides a continuing point of contact for former students of the Royal Military College (RMC), Kingston, the Royal Military College St. Jean, the former Royal Roads Military College (RRMC), Victoria, and certain predecessor institutions.
The Club provides services for its members, support for the Cadets of the Canadian Military Colleges and general support for all current and former Canadian Military Colleges.
The Toronto Branch of the RMC Club has been in continuous operation since it was founded in the early 1900s. The Branch, while legally independent of the Club, supports the objectives of the RMC Club for members living in and around the Greater Toronto Area.
The Board is made up of volunteers who meet regularly to plan Branch events and conduct the business of the Branch.
New volunteers are welcome.
